Is recycling the best solution??

Hello.....! Ghana is now moving forward. The nation has come to notice that waste can be useful to us. Waste can be used as fertilizer. Instead of littering our streets with it, we can use it on our farms. We can use it for bags and other resourceful materials.

Breaking News from Google Updates from my world of sanitation. Ghana may not be able to reach its goal of Quality Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in the U.N Millennium Developmental Goals. But one good news is, industries and ministries are putting actions in place to achieve the goals which are due in 2015. Let's be happy but also support the structures put in place.

Another very important story to help my project also from Google alerts talks about a Member of Parliament who encourages his constituencies to stay clean to prevent being infected with Ebola. All these efforts paid off because gradually Ebola is fleeing Africa and no cases of the disease has being recorded in Ghana. Share your views on ways people can stay safe of  Ebola. Thank You.

Religion Helps Sanitation

Today I read a story from my alerts about an association affiliated to a religion which is making efforts to eradicate filth from the northern part of Ghana. The northern regions are places people would not like to go and start projects because of some conditions there.But this article shows how religion can help a nation grow. let's all join hands to clean our communities.

My first story from my Google alerts on my sanitation project. A chief of one of the areas in Ghana organized a community clean-up exercise in celebration of his anniversary. They distilled choked drains and cleared all the filth on the streets and markets.

This brought a whole lot of people together. It involved the members of the community, the youth, government officials and cleaning companies. They really had fun because it fostered peace and unity in cleanliness.

Project Goals

Research has shown that  the amount of filth produced in each house in Ghana a day is more than the amount of food produced for a community an hour which is very bad. The rate at which filth in the form of empty plastic bags, boxes, and waste food products are dropped on streets, in the gutters and in our markets gives the country a bad reputation. So my campaign is to " Kill Filth And Set Us Free". We as communities, countries and continents are being called upon to help a good course like this. I am starting this beautiful project hoping and motivated by you and you whom are reading this page. God bless Ghana, God bless us for Cleanliness is next to Godliness.
